Approximately 1 km from the cottage you will find long sandy beaches on the outskirts of Stenshuvud National Park, where you can enjoy fantastic walks in the deciduous forest and the sandy heaths with vews over Hanö Bay.

Within a 20-30 km radius you have Brösarps Backar (Brösarps Hills) and Österlens undulating countryside with a string of small fishing villages from Vitemölla in the north to Kåseberge and Ales Stenar (Ale’s Stones) in the south.
There are four 18-hole golf courses between 6 km and 30 km from Österhillgården. Österlen’s golf course in Lilla Vik has two courses, as does Degeberga and Tomelilla golf course. Theannual events are Konstrundan (Art Exhibition) during two weeks around Easter, Matrundan (Culinary Exhibition) in May, Kivik’s Market in July, the Apple Market in September and Österlen Lyser in the beginning of November.
In the immediate vicinity there area round 20 restaurants and cafés. Allé and Blåsingborg are within walking distance.
